Princeton and Harvard Claim Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards
PRINCETON, N.J. – Ivy League women's lacrosse continues to impress on the national stage as multiple Ivies recorded wins over ranked opponents last week as Penn defeated Loyola (Md.) and Yale defeated UConn. Individually, Princeton's McKenzie Blake (Offensive) and Harvard's Annabel Child (Defensive) earned this week's honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
McKenzie Blake, Princeton (Sr., A - Haddonfield, N.J.)
- Tied Princeton's program record with eight goals in a 20-8 win at Rutgers on Wednesday night.
- Had nine total points in the game – one away from tying that program record.
- In addition, Blake won six draw controls and picked up five ground balls while causing one turnover.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Annabel Child, Harvard (Sr., D - Oakville, Ontario)
- Helped lead Harvard to a 2-0 week that included wins over Holy Cross and Dartmouth.
- Picked up eight ground balls and caused six turnovers over the two-game stretch.
- Added a goal in the Crimson's 14-8 win at Dartmouth on Sunday.
